about

Przejazd rowerem przez senne ulice z równo zabudowaną, estetyczną architekturą. Klimat bogatego przedmieścia. Jechałem rowerem w stronę Scheveningen. To dzielnica-kurort, ale przed sezonem przypominała bezludną przestrzeń. Do plaży schodziło się z wysokiej wydmy. Ostre powietrze i zapach morza. Byłem u siebie, chociaż daleko. Fale wypluwały morską pianę. Woda krzyczała, syczała, gotowała się. Wiatr unosił drobiny piasku. Ten ruch był słyszalny.

A bicycle ride down sleepy streets with their evenly developed, aesthetically appealing architecture. The ambience of a wealthy suburb. I was biking towards Scheveningen. It’s a district-resort, but, in low season, it looked more like a desert area. The route to the beach led down a tall dune. Sharp air and smell of the sea. I was at home, although at a distance. Waves spat out the sea-foam. The water screamed, hissed, boiled. The wind transported fine grains of sand. The movement was audible.
